Hello! My name is Elena Bahr. I am currently a student studying Integrated Strategic Communications. I have lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life. The purpose of this blog is to post content I have created for some of my COM classes, and this serves as a sort of online portfolio showcasing some of the work I did previously, as well as new assignments. New updates will be for Com383 and Com476. My blog will be based on the topic of fashion, makeup and interior design, which are three passions of mine, among many others. I have experience working with clients doing prom makeup and event makeup. I am self taught with 6+ years of experience practicing on myself and others to curate the most beautiful looks on different face shapes, skin tones and types, and styles. I pride myself in cleanliness, professionalism, an upbeat and friendly demeanor and a willingness to work with clients who are still discovering what looks make them feel most confident (want to try a crazy purple cat eye look? Got it! Changed your mind to something more natural? Let’s switch it up.). I am adaptable, patient, and compassionate, and I want to make sure that everyone I work with feels important, heard, and valued.

After graduation, I would love to manage social media or marketing for beauty brands or personal wellness brands. In my free time I enjoy working out, cooking (I follow a primarily anti-inflammatory diet and have found delicious recipes that are good for fighting chronic inflammation), hanging out with my family and friends and my dog, Mia, and exploring different cities. I look forward to getting more familiar with the marketing aspect of my degree, and it would be amazing to start my own small business someday incorporating clean, cruelty-free beauty or natural products. I am also interested in public relations and non profit work. I am passionate about helping women feel strong and empowered, as well as taking others along my journey on attempting to live a healthy lifestyle through diet, exercise, and fulfilling relationships. Someday, I hope to travel to the island of Malta, where my mother’s side of the family is from. I also hope to travel to Spain and Italy someday. Thanks for reading!
